My experience

I’m an HCPC registered occupational therapist specialising in stroke and neurological rehabilitation, with almost 15 years’ experience, much of it in the NHS. I’ve worked across acute wards, community rehabilitation, outpatient neurology and specialist neuro centres, including at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square in London.

What I saw

Too often, recovery support ended at discharge. People went home managing fatigue, cognitive changes and the mental load of a neurological condition with no clear follow-up. People who seemed to be coping, at work, at school or at home, were often the most overlooked.

Why it’s personal

I recognised that gap because I lived it. Long COVID left me fighting to keep my career going while managing symptoms nobody could see. That experience shapes how I work: practical, personal and honest.

Why I founded NexGen

NexGen exists to provide specialist neurological OT that carries on where it’s needed: at home, at work and in the community. I lead every case personally, either seeing clients myself or closely supervising my associates.
